Onto religion for the fae. The most common belief is that their is a great deity who presides over the elements of the world. This deity died and became the world, skin becoming the earth, hair the plants, sweat the water, and so on. Finally this deity's blood became magical energy which flowed into certain trees becoming the fae. This magic flowed into stones becoming humans. It flowed into crystals becoming the elves. Finally that magic flowed into the leaves forming animals. Out of the world new deities where formed to preside over things individually. That's the belief they follow.
I kind of just randomly thought this up. So there was no real process to it's creation other than making sure it wasn't the same as the most common real life religions. Though I didn't want the fae's beliefs to not matter in the world so I made it make sense in the world. None of the races have any history dating back to the evolution of humans. So it would make sense that their beliefs would be impacted by the lack of knowledge. The fae do worship the deities but don't believe that the deities impact their magic.
I've mentioned this a couple of times but never really stopped to clarify. The fae can only be born from a certain type of tree. This tree won't be one that exists in the real world. I was thinking that I would make this tree be created by certain humans. similarly to how wraiths are created, these humans used too much magic directly and it influenced their forms. I'll probably do that in a separate blog post.
So that finishes religion and language. I'll copy the list again here...
